DESCRIPTION: Established in 1920, Hong Kong Medical Association is a professional body, which brings together all medical practitioners of Hong Kong under a roof. The main aim of this body is to foster the welfare of medical profession and health of the public. Presently, it comprises of more than 7000 medical practitioners as its current members. The organization has a 30-member council, which nominates individuals to serve the various institutions like Medical Council of Hong Kong, Council of Smoking and Health Pharmacy and Poisons Board.

DESCRIPTION: The Hong Kong Council on Smoking and Health was formed in 1987 to aware, inform and educate the public on smoking and health matters. The organization was incorporated under Chapter 389, Ordinance No. 56 of 1987 with the core aim of advising the governmental bodies, community health organizations, and public body on issues pertaining to smoking and health.
