Bone Chisel
A bone chisel as the name suggests is used for cutting bones. It has two ends-one proximal and the other distant. Cutting takes place at the distant end. The other end is used for longitudinal or rotational motion. The distant end usually has a saw-like cutting edge (specifications of the edge vary according to the task at hand). The cutting tip comes in various specifications like 4mm, 6mm etc. A T-shaped handle is attached to the other end for suitable motion. The length of the Bone chisel is chosen according to necessity. Its price ranges from $50 to $100. Various models such as Buser bone chisel or Chandler bone chisel are available. Pakistan, Japan, China, and Israel are the important producing countries.
