Waste management plants and equipment can be classified on the basis of the type of waste to be disposed like organic, inorganic, biodegradable, etc or on the basis of source of waste like electronic waste, medical waste etc. Further, the management of wastes can include processing solid, liquid, gaseous or radioactive substances, with different methods and equipment needed for each.
